Soccer Game Preview: Tipton vs. Monticello

The Tipton Tigers will challenge the Monticello Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tipton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tipton fell victim to West Branch and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Bears.

Meanwhile, Monticello also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Bellevue on Monday, falling 8-0. Monticello have struggled against Bellevue recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tipton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Everything went Tipton's way against Monticello when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Tipton made off with a 5-1 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
