Football Recap: Green Sea Floyds Comes Up Short

Green Sea Floyds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-15 defeat at the hands of the Carvers Bay Bears. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Bears are ranked 105th).

Green Sea Floyds' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Carvers Bay, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Green Sea Floyds will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hannah-Pamplico at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Carvers Bay, they will venture away from home to face off against Latta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Bears' offense will have their work cut out for them.
