Volleyball Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Clearwater Indians
Bishop Carroll had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Clearwater Indians on Saturday. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Carroll took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.
Sophia Smith paced Bishop Carroll's offense, picking up seven kills. Smith got some help from Ally Orth and her 15 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
