Soccer Recap: Cheney Comes Up Short

After flying high against University on Wednesday, Cheney came back down to earth. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups who were credited with the win on Friday. The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Cheney Blackhawks' two. Cheney haven't had much luck with Gonzaga Prep recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Cheney's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Gonzaga Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-2 record this season.

Cheney will challenge Central Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gonzaga Prep, they will square off against Pasco at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
