Basketball Game Preview: Bonita Springs Bullsharks vs. Ida Baker Bulldogs

The Bonita Springs Bullsharks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ida Baker Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bonita Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Thursday, Bonita Springs came up short against LaBelle and fell 74-65. While losing is never fun, the Bullsharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while the Cowboys/Cowgirls are ranked 359th).

Meanwhile, Ida Baker unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Riverdale 57-53. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 19-10 in the first quarter.

Ida Baker's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Bonita Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.

Bonita Springs came up short against Ida Baker in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 56-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ida Baker's West Powell, who went 7 of 17 en route to 23 points in addition to four steals and three blocks.
