The Liberty Christian Academy Heat will venture away from home to square off against the Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
Liberty Christian Academy is headed into Friday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 64-51 to John Paul II Catholic on Monday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ryan Nyambane, who went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Bachmann, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and five assists.
Even though they lost, Liberty Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Southeastern Christian Academy humbled Calvary Christian with a 70-43 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 354th in North Carolina, while the Patriots are ranked 146th in South Carolina).
Southeastern Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Ziyon Smith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Young, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.
Liberty Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Liberty Christian Academy has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 28.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Southeastern Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Liberty Christian Academy won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, slipping by Southeastern Christian Academy 49-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
