It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Somerset Academy - Canyons had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Bishop Verot Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 17 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Jaimaris Diaz and Alexia Hansen scored all three of Somerset Academy - Canyons' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 39 goals.

The win (which was Somerset Academy - Canyons' eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight games. As for Bishop Verot, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Somerset Academy - Canyons will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against South Walton at 7:00 p.m. South Walton will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Somerset Academy - Canyons surely won't give up without a fight. Bishop Verot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
