Basketball Game Preview: Palmyra Cougars vs. Exeter Township Eagles

The Palmyra Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Exeter Township Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Palmyra will be strutting in after a win while Exeter Township will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Palmyra turned things around against Mifflin County on Monday. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Exeter Township suffered their biggest defeat since February 28th on Monday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Reading an easy 72-51 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Palmyra's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Exeter Township, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Palmyra came up short against Exeter Township when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 58-53. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
