Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sam Houston). They blew past the Edison Golden Bears 49-0 on Friday. The Hurricanes have beaten the Golden Bears the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Golden Bears has come to flipping the script.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Edison, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Houston is set to take on their familiar foe Lanier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Edison will challenge rival Brackenridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
