Basketball Recap: Carsonville-Port Sanilac Tigers vs. Kingston Cardinals
The Carsonville-Port Sanilac Tigers lost against the Kingston Cardinals back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Carsonville-Port Sanilac took a serious blow against the Cardinals, falling 63-29. Carsonville-Port Sanilac has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Kingston to victory were Owen Corlis and Kaden Bruce. Corlis scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, while Bruce dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Bruce scored 15 or more points. Peyton Harrington was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Carsonville-Port Sanilac dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kingston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carsonville-Port Sanilac is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Mayville and the Tigers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Kingston, they will head out on the road to take on the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
