Soccer Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Liberty-Benton Eagles. If Riverdale were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Liberty-Benton when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Liberty-Benton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Riverdale will square off against Elida at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty-Benton, they will head out to square off against Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
