Baseball Recap: King's Fork Comes Up Short

If King's Fork was riding high fresh off their 23-6 takedown of Franklin last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Hickory Hawks on Tuesday, falling 17-3. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

King's Fork saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

King's Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hickory, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. King's Fork will head out to challenge Western Branch at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Bruins have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Hickory, they will venture away from home to square off against Great Bridge at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
