Baseball Recap: Sheridan Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Sheridan's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Tri-Valley Scotties on Monday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Sheridan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Griffey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Sheridan and nudges their season record down to 8-3. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

While Sheridan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
