Softball Recap: E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks vs. Ocoee Knights

E.O. Smith/Tolland had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Ocoee Knights by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

For Ocoee's part, Sarrah Trocki spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Trocki has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Janay Jackson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Gray, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.

The win got Ocoee back to even at 8-8.
