Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Patchogue-Medford

Patchogue-Medford gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Brentwood Indians. Considering the Raiders have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Connor Davis tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Patchogue-Medford got a massive performance out of Trevor Moczulski, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Moczulski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Desantis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Patchogue-Medford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Patchogue-Medford's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Brentwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
