Irving came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Berkner Rams with a sharp 10-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Tuesday.

Shantia Haymer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Irving saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Heily Jiminez, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Irving pushed their record up to 14-13-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Berkner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

As of now, neither Irving nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
