Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Lions are ranked 152nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strath Haven's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.
