Recap: John Henry Wildcats vs. Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins
The John Henry Wildcats lost against the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. John Henry fell 49-39 to Mare Island Tech Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points John Henry has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, John Henry saw an underclassman step up: Cesar Melchor scored 15 points. Jonathan Magana was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
John Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mare Island Tech Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
John Henry will be playing at home against Griffin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mare Island Tech Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Arise at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
