Baseball Recap: Tolleson Has No Trouble Against Dobson

Tolleson barely beat Dobson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tolleson Wolverines blew past the Dobson Mustangs 10-3 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on JOSE CORRALES, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Tolleson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6-1 otherwise. ADRIAN NUNEZ was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

CORRALES wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Tolleson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. Tolleson is 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

As for Dobson, they will square off against Red Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Red Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Dobson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
