Football Game Preview: Beecher vs. Corunna

Corunna have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Beecher at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Corunna have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They made easy work of Bentley last Friday and carried off a 41-12 win. Junior Peyton Norton, who punched in 2 rushing TDs and accumulated 177 passing yards, was a major factor in Corunna's success. Norton has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 4 games.

Meanwhile, Beecher put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They took the contest and then some with a 55-6 victory over Atherton.

Their wins bumped Corunna to 1-5 and Beecher to 4-2. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
