Volleyball Recap: Spartanburg Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Spartanburg Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenwood Christian Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Spartanburg Christian Academy took Greenwood Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-12, 25-13, 21-25, 15-7.

Spartanburg Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Greenwood Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Coming up, Spartanburg Christian Academy will head out to take on Laurens Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenwood Christian, they will take on Spartanburg Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
