Football Game Preview: Gahr Gladiators vs. Compton Early College Rising Phoenix + How To Watch

The Gahr Gladiators will face off against the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Gahr is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Norwalk just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Lancers at home by a 27-13 margin.

Roman Acosta put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 146 yards on 12 of 21 attempts.

Meanwhile, Compton Early College played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 63-7 loss at the hands of Bellflower. The Rising Phoenix were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Gahr's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Compton Early College, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
