Basketball Recap: Sapulpa Comes Up Short

Sapulpa lost against Muskogee back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sapulpa Chieftains were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Muskogee Roughers.

Sapulpa has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Muskogee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sapulpa has already played their next game (against Glenpool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Muskogee will square off against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Muskogee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
