Basketball Game Preview: Oroville Hornets vs. Pateros Billygoats/Nannies

The Oroville Hornets will challenge the Pateros Billygoats/Nannies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Oroville might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 68-34 to Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Lions are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, Pateros came up short against Waterville on Friday and fell 54-45. The Billygoats/Nannies have struggled against the Shockers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Oroville's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Pateros, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Everything came up roses for Oroville against Pateros in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 57-28 victory. Will Oroville repeat their success, or does Pateros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
