Baseball Recap: Airport Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Airport entered their tilt with South Aiken on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the South Aiken Thoroughbreds by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Cash Epps spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Hunter Epps was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Isahia Clemons was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Airport's record now sits at 5-2. As for South Aiken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Airport will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Aiken: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
