Volleyball Recap: Westwood Baptist Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Westwood Baptist Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Eagle Ridge Christian by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Westwood Baptist Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Eagle Ridge Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-17, 26-28, 15-7.

Eagle Ridge Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westwood Baptist Academy will challenge rival Crosspoint Christian at 6:45 p.m. on September 9. Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Victory Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
