Holy Cross is 10-0 against Old Forge since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Holy Cross Crusaders will challenge the Old Forge Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Old Forge likes a good challenge.

Holy Cross is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Scranton Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Holy Cross ended the year with a bang, routing Scranton Prep 69-47 on Friday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 20 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Old Forge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-46 victory over the Warriors. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Warriors are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holy Cross is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Old Forge, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Holy Cross came out on top in a nail-biter against Old Forge in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 66-63. Will Holy Cross repeat their success, or does Old Forge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
