Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gracey Elfers and Mckenna Mcevoy Lead Clermont Northeastern to Victory + How To Watch

The Clermont Northeastern Rockets earned a 3-1 victory over the Peebles Indians on Saturday.

Clermont Northeastern walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 23-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Leading Clermont Northeastern to victory were McKenna McEvoy and Gracey Elfers. McEvoy had 17 digs and two aces, while Elfers had ten digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave McEvoy a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Clermont Northeastern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Clermont Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Peebles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Clermont Northeastern will venture away from home to challenge Whiteoak at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Peebles, they will face off against Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
