Softball Recap: University Comes Up Short

University might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Mart who claimed the real prize. The Trojans fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Mart, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season.

University and Mart will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans are set to take on their familiar foe Lake Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mart will square off against rival Riesel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
