Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Western Alamance

On FridayWestern Alamance's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past the Riverside-Durham Pirates 40-38. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Pirates are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Riverside-Durham still got an impressive performance from Noam Cohen, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Savage, who put up three points.

Western Alamance pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Riverside-Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Western Alamance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-34 loss against Bishop McGuinness on the 14th. As for Riverside-Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-41 defeat against Person on the 17th.
