Truman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ruskin Golden Eagles a 12-0 shutout. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Truman's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Ruskin, they are on a 38-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Truman beat the Golden Eagles by a score of 14-0 later that day.
