Baseball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Extends Winning Streak to Three

Archbishop Carroll waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Cypress Bay Lightning.

ANDRES GARCIA spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. Those three hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, DYLAN CASAL was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Archbishop Carroll is undefeated when CASAL posts two or more runs, but 2-5-1 otherwise. DAMIAN ESPINALES also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Archbishop Carroll now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Cypress Bay, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Archbishop Carroll will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brito at 3:30 p.m. The last three games Brito has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Cypress Bay, they will head out to face off against Western at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Bay hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.
