Football Game Preview: Castro Valley Trojans vs. Berkeley Yellowjackets + Official Tickets

The Castro Valley Trojans will face off against the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Castro Valley is looking for their season's first win.

On Thursday, Castro Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-22 to Moreau Catholic. While the Trojans had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Mariners 7-0.

Meanwhile, Berkeley played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Bishop O'Dowd and fell 55-12. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Although Berkeley took the loss, they still got scores from CHRISTOPHER DEVITO and ELLIOT GERBELOT.

Berkeley's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Castro Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Castro Valley was taken down by Berkeley 34-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Yellowjackets' IDAN WADE-CURIEL, who threw for 199 yards and three TDs.
