Softball Recap: Alden Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

Alden came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Royalton-Hartland Rams, sneaking past 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 28th.

The team relied heavily on Ashley Eberth, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Sawyer Faso was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Alden hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Alden pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Royalton-Hartland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
