Softball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clinton River Kings. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.

Midland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Central DeWitt on the 14th. As for Clinton, they have also already played their next game, a 15-7 loss against Calamus-Wheatland on the 14th.
