Jeff Davis extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Telfair County Trojans. On the bright side, the 45- point performance marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring game to date.

Jeff Davis' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bree Coney, who posted 18 points and eight boards. Coney also put up a block, which was her first of the season. Anna Grace Alligood was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

As for Telfair County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games.

Telfair County found their leader in sophomore Ty'Kristiany Jones, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Jones. Another player making a difference was Trynitee Newson, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Jeff Davis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-24 victory against Wheeler County on the 13th. As for Telfair County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-20 loss against Bleckley County on the 13th.
