Basketball Game Preview: Roncalli Royals vs. Harrison Raiders

The Roncalli Royals will square off against the Harrison Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Roncalli and four for Harrison.

Last Friday, Roncalli lost to Washington on the road by a 77-59 margin. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Hatchets are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Harrison came up short against Tippecanoe Valley on Saturday and fell 36-23. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Roncalli will have to keep a close watch on Allison McColley and Aleah Szymanski, a pair of players who had a big impact on Harrison's prior game. McColley posted eight points and three steals, while Szymanski put up four points and four steals.

Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Roncalli, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
