The matchup between Horizon and Thornton on Saturday hardly resembled the 18-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Hawks walked away with a 34-25 win over the Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Horizon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Nevaeh Stukas and Genia Harris were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece.

Although Thornton took the loss, they still got scores from Zhane Moore, Olivia Mateo, Dayanis Holguin, and Phoenix Manchego.

Horizon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Thornton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Horizon has already played their next game, a 20-6 victory against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 24th. As for Thornton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-0 win against Aurora Central on the 24th.
