Soccer Game Preview: Richmond High School for the Arts vs. Monacan

Richmond High School for the Arts is 1-8 against Monacan since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m.

Richmond High School for the Arts is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Clover Hill on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Monacan was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Midlothian could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Monacan's draw makes their record 6-5-1 this season. As for Richmond High School for the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Richmond High School for the Arts beat Monacan by a goal in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
