On Tuesday Katelyn Balka struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The performance marked the fewest hits Balka has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with less than two hits. For the year, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of .54 over 13 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.600/0.650/0.771 with 17 runs.

Looking ahead, Balka and Greenbrier Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
