Fountain-Fort Carson has gone 8-2 against Liberty recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

On Monday, Fountain-Fort Carson lost to Vista Ridge on the road by a 47-28 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Wolves are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Pueblo West on Friday and fell 57-46. While the Lancers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cyclones 14-10 in the first quarter.

Fountain-Fort Carson will have to contain Samira Gantt as she made an impact in Liberty's last game. She went 10 for 18 en route to 25 points and four steals. Gantt's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Hill, who posted eight points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Liberty was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo West only posted four assists.

Fountain-Fort Carson's record now sits at 5-11. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 7-9.

Fountain-Fort Carson strolled past Liberty when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 54-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fountain-Fort Carson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
