Basketball Game Preview: Pathways College Prep Trailblazers vs. Queens Teaching

After both having extra time off, the Pathways College Prep Trailblazers and Queens Teaching will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pathways College Prep took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They strolled past Goddard Communications Arts & Tech with points to spare, taking the game 38-19.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Queens Teaching). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 31-17 win over Cambria Heights Academy two weeks ago. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Queens Teaching.

Queens Teaching's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Pathways College Prep, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

Pathways College Prep took their victory against Queens Teaching when the teams last played on December 4th by a conclusive 40-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pathways College Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
