Frenship is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They slipped by Mansfield Legacy 54-53. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Broncos are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Guyer took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 72-34 victory over Lamar. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 23 points or more this season.

Guyer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season. As for Frenship, their win bumped their record up to 30-6.
