Basketball Recap: Ryan Mccann's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Discovery Canyon over Lewis-Palmer

Discovery Canyon suffered their closest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lewis-Palmer Rangers by a score of 39-37. The Thunder just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Discovery Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ryan McCann, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Dillan McComb, who scored seven points and 12 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Discovery Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

Lauryn Graves was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 46.6% field goal percentage. Brooke Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points.
