Basketball Recap: Upper Lake Takes a Loss

Upper Lake lost against Cloverdale back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Upper Lake Cougars took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cloverdale Eagles. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Cloverdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxson Randolph, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Randolph has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jorge Guerrero, who posted ten points and five assists.

Upper Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cloverdale, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Upper Lake will take on Kelseyville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cloverdale, they will face off against Clear Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
