Basketball Game Preview: Knott County Central Patriots vs. Boyle County Rebels

The Knott County Central Patriots will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Boyle County Rebels at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Knott County Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by June Buchanan to the tune of 91-50 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Boyle County might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Highlands an easy 94-71 victory. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Bluebirds are ranked 30th).

Knott County Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Boyle County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
