Softball Game Preview: Lynden Christian Lyncs vs. Anacortes Seahawks

The Lynden Christian Lyncs will take on the Anacortes Seahawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynden Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Lynden Christian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Mt. Baker 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lyncs have posted against the Mountaineers since May 16, 2019.

Meanwhile, Anacortes had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Squalicum with a sharp 21-1 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Seahawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Anacortes' win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Lynden Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Lynden Christian's way against Anacortes in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Lynden Christian made off with a 26-2 win. Do the Lyncs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seahawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
