Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Mountain Island Charter on Friday, Lincoln Charter came back down to earth. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Lincoln Knights on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

While Lincoln Charter had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 17-25, 25-18.

Bryleigh Rhodes paced Lincoln Charter's offense, picking up eight kills. Rhodes got some help from Abby Shonce and her 16 assists. Nicolle Mora-Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lincoln Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Lincoln, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Charter will welcome Corvian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for North Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against East Lincoln on the 19th.
