Dynamic duo of Ruger Nicholls and Kaizer Summers lead Mackay to victory

Recap: Mackay Miners vs. Alturas Prep Pumas
The Mackay Miners's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-44 win over Alturas Prep.
Leading Mackay to victory were Ruger Nicholls and Kaizer Summers. Nicholls dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Summers dropped a double-double on 30 points and 21 rebounds. Summers is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.
The victory got Mackay back to even at 10-10. As for Alturas Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
Mackay will head out on the road to take on North Gem at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mackay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday. Alturas Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
