Football Game Preview: North Oconee Titans vs. Eastside Eagles + How To Watch

The North Oconee Titans will head out to challenge the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Oconee's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, North Oconee blew past Madison County, posting a 35-6 victory. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Eastside's offense rose to the challenge against a Warriors defense that boasted an average of only 12.33 points allowed on Friday. The Eagles claimed a resounding 34-6 victory over Walnut Grove. The Eagles pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Eastside's win came from a few key players North Oconee will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Payton Shaw, who threw for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Myles Mims helped Shaw out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and one TD.

Eastside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Eastside now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Oconee, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

North Oconee didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eastside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
